For me, what really matters isn\’t the graphics (of course it still have to look a little bit real, i don\’t think anyone could be scared by a 9 pixel gameboy sprite)
What matters the most for me is the ambiance and the sound design, subtle foreshadowing, litemotives is what really add spice to the spookiness
Try to play any horror game without sound and with lights on: except for some jumpscares, you\’re probably not be scared -
