@ralph a question, does sn when exported with mp4 use vector graphics

    1
    • its always vector graphics, all the individual shapes in SN are calculated with math and points

the only time they’re rasterized are after they’ve been drawn vectorized but then are rendered a second time in rasterized form with filters (thus why filters look blurry sometimes due to scaling/quality)

        hm
will the export system change in the 1080p update to make anims (even with anti-aliasing) lose that pixelly feel sn has when exported

so, i tried comparing sn’s exported max resolution with antialiasing pngs + an art program’s 1080 export + antialias

          (transparent)

          (non transparent)

the pixelness is more noticeable on the transparent version, will there be a possible fix for that?

yeah there’s an issue with AA and transparent PNGs that my small brain has had trouble fixing in the past

i gotta look into it again

Tbh I constantly wanted vectors instead of 4k for future projects but there isn’t really a format for it and it’s like… Oof.
