Some kind of overlay or mask tool would be cool.
For example:
Layer 1 ( Yours Stickfigure as normal ), for examples sake let’s say a plain square / segment with equal proportions
Layer 2, lines in a sort of pattern all consisting of segments with some gals between them
What if from here you could move, rotate, and add opacity to this second layer to then create other patterns and shapes on certain parts. For things like metal, water and other surfaces that could use patterns and decoration over a large body this would be cool.
I was thinking that it would have it’s own GUI like a button being pressed and then an import list and an option to layers it in different ways, probably keeping it to the main animation scene rather than the creator.

I don’t really understand but do you mean like opacity for segments
Also
Ralph add a way to see layers on a animation, like drawing apps do
If I were to have a solid cube flat on a table and you look at it from and overhead view then I add some cloth with a pattern over it and hold it against the shape tightly the cloth pattern will look like it’s on the cube now when in fact it’s just been put over it.
( The results of said example would be a square / cube that has the cloth’s colour and pattern on it whilst retaining the shape of the object )
The same applies here.
-still confused-
Explain with small word
I have two stickfigures, 1 and 2.
If I layer 2 over 1 my idea was to merge the two essentially ‘Join to Stickfigure’ except the shape of 1 is left there still and layer 2 gets cut out to mould to the shape of 1 leaving any patterns or designs of the second Stickfigure we just put over the first.
If you still don’t understand I’ll get some visuals to show you given you still want to understand.
I understand now
Kinda
This sounds cool
