@Ariconek @ssbswb
Here is a hopefully better thought out plan of my idea ok so I will explain my idea by the images below in chronological order.
1. When you open the Stickfigure creator/editor you will see a more node tools
2. Than a select tool will be available
3. Than select the desired nodes by using the selector (which will look like the image croper when creating a sn group, there is a picture to show incase u dont know)
4. Than a gradient can be selected and put over the segments, so the gradient being blue and red.
5. Than it will be overlapped onto the nodes and the nodes will maintain its shape but will still have the designated gradient over it (which than the gradient can change direction its going in so instead of at a 90 Degree angle to a 0 Degree angle making the gradient go across the entire shape of the nodes but by having it face 0 Degrees)Hopefully that all made sense, this idea is a weird one not gonna lie, but just puting it out there.

@arcionek
Typo when writting ur name lol oof, but I @ u because u asked for what I meant before for my update idea.
Hopefully that makes sense
And it’s k lol. Happens nearly all the time.
Also @Ralph in case he didn’t understand the previous idea lol.
So, my opinion on it is simple.
It will be very, very awkward.
Not only it will take a lot of UI space (if the button will also be there), but also would be used in only few cases.
Also it will be very sloppy to use. Restricted to rectangle. Also wil the select count as a part of the segment in the selection, or the entire segment going from point A to point B? What about accidental selections? What about not selecting all we want?
It’s a lot of work for a thing that could barely function as intended.
Yea im with u on this, looking back at this idea I think its a bit much, maybe like when a gradient is used its direction can be chosen than it wont be as disgusting to use.
essentially just looks like a marque tool to select all nodes within it’s bounds to edit their properties?
yeah that basically gets filed under the “select multiple ____” feature which I may or may not get to in the future, kinda a big hassle and I’l like to focus on more “interesting” things rn
but is a good idea
Yea I was thinking to myself after posting the idea,’this kind of doesnt fit wth sn so maybe not rn but when more cool stuff comes out in the future than maybe’ lol
👍
