2026-02-26 12:32:32 UTC Valve is being sued by the U.S because the lootboxes in some of their games “promote gambling to children” when all the games that have some sort of lootbox are rated M.
They’re also claiming that the fact that valve has guns in their games is promoting/fueling gun violence?? This is literally the stupidest lawsuit I’ve seen in a while.

I can’t say I don’t at least partially agree that it’s gambling
It’s not bad though
and most certainly not worthy of being sued over
I love my gambling
the only difference between the lootboxes and gambling is that with lootboxes you actually get something of value in any scenario
Valve will literally win by doing nothing.
Valve try not to do anything but everyone sues.
Either that or they might have to hire lawyers.
