**Breaking News โ Viremont, Lorienna**
Late last night, a joint operation between the **Viremont Metro Police** and the **Loriennan Federal Investigation Bureau (LFIB)** resulted in the dramatic arrest of a wanted suspect in the cityโs central district.
The suspect, identified as **Markus Veyran**, 34, had been on the LFIBโs national watch list for months in connection with multiple armed robberies and organized crime activity. Officials confirmed that Veyran was considered โarmed and dangerousโ and was wearing body armor at the time of his capture. He was also in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun.
The arrest unfolded shortly after 11:30 p.m. when **Corporal Daniel Krevick** of the Viremont Metro Police and **LFIB Special Agent Renara Doss** spotted Veyran exiting a derelict building on Rylmont Street. When approached, Veyran reportedly attempted to reach for his weapon but was swiftly disarmed and restrained.
Witnesses described a tense moment when both officers had their firearms drawn as they ordered Veyran to the ground. The suspect complied after a brief standoff, dropping his weapon before being taken into custody.
Authorities report that the operation had been planned for weeks following coordinated surveillance efforts. โThis was a textbook example of inter-agency cooperation,โ said LFIB spokesperson Ralen Vos. โThanks to the quick action of Corporal Krevick and Agent Doss, a dangerous fugitive is now off the streets.โ
Veyran is currently being held at Viremont Detention Center awaiting arraignment on multiple federal and municipal charges, including illegal possession of a firearm, resisting arrest, and armed robbery.

**Breaking News โ Downtown Viremont, United States of Lorienna**
What began as a **routine patrol** in the capitalโs downtown core turned into a tense **foot chase** this afternoon, ending with the suspect taken into custody without injury.
According to the **Viremont Metro Police Department**, two officers engaged in a pursuit after a man fled during a stop-and-question encounter near East Marlowe Avenue. Witnesses say the chase wound through the quiet side streets, with the suspect making it about two blocks before being intercepted by a VMPD sergeant.
โThe sergeant came out of nowhere,โ said Marla Devereux, a cafรฉ owner whose shop faces the alley where the chase ended. โHe just timed it perfectly and pushed the guy down before he could get past. It was fastโlike something out of a movie.โ
Once on the ground, the suspect was quickly secured by the officers. The sergeant kept his sidearm trained on the man while his partner approached to handcuff him. Police confirmed the individual was **not harmed** during the arrest.
Authorities have not yet released the manโs identity or the reason for the attempted flight but stated that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The Viremont Metro Police Department is asking anyone with video or photographs of the incident to share them with investigators to aid in their ongoing review.
