fun fact gifs were orginally intened to be still images actually, but due to the fact that it had frames (and a small file size) people used it to share animaitons, and videos.
(because just posting a video wouldve taken forever to load, because were talking about the OLD INTERNET)
so your wrong, the difference is that gifs are smaller in file size, and easier to share.
