Verbal abuse is child abuse. I agree. Yelling at your kid constantly and insulting them isn’t constructive, hands down.

Hitting children, depends on the severity persay. I can be biased though because I was raised with butt-whooping and all that but later in life my mother’s parenting style shifted to more grounding, and so my younger siblings were raised that way mostly.

Getting pinched or a few spatula hits to the butt i wouldn’t say it necessarily abuse.
Give your kid a black eye though, that’s definitely a step too far.

Disciplinary punishment and abuse are two distinct things and there’s lines you shouldn’t cross when disciplining your kids.

Don’t know how your parents handles this with disciplining you and your brothers, but i wish you all the well. Don’t be afraid to speak out to a trusted adult (Another sympathetic family member you can confide in or other party) or get in contact with somebody if you really think child protection services is needed.
