Humor is inapplicable to this animation so I won’t critique it.
This episode of 404 clearly shows a bit of improvement in niche areas but is otherwise still pretty bad. The music editing is well-done, and I was surprised by how clean it was. Besides that, the series still has nothing going for it. The main antagonist is almost painful to watch with how edgy and cringy it is, and the dialogue is just atrocious. Pacing is once again all over the place, defining yet another example of how software tweening can slow down an animation and ruin it. The combat is simplistic and uninspired, and it doesn’t contribute anything to uniqueness or style. It just is extremely bland as a series and doesn’t really tell a story in the slightest. As a casual animation, it could possibly get by, but it fails very badly as a series that is supposed to have a plot.
Still hanging around that average rating, but it has something going. The story feels like it’s too straight forward, but it has something. Characters have 0 personality unfortunatly and alot of them look too similar. Visually, it has some ok background work, but lots of scaling mistakes. While the animation is good, the story really could use some work and the visuals are inconsistent.
2/5.
