Humor is inapplicable to this animation, so I won’t critique it. I’m leaving storyline in because there was an added bit at the end that hints of one.
Wow, Aeon makes some pretty good stuff. This fight improves on some big aspects that his last featured fight lacked, but it overall isn’t as strong. For one, this fight has a more climactic ending for sure. The effects being used are pretty solid too, and the fights and moves are very entertaining to look at, though they can get overly flashy. The story thrown in at the end is not really necessary, and it would definitely be more powerful if the sequence ended at the final blast. It would really be a cool subversion to have that main character lose in such a way. Unfortunately, though this fight also has some great pacing, there still are some pretty edgy moments and the dialogue can interfere with pacing more than before. On top of that, there’s yet another moment where Aeon takes weapons or scenes from other animators, this time from topkillgrean. Inspiration from other animators is fine, but directly taking from them really isn’t. I think if Aeon focused on creating a specific identity for his own characters rather than relying on the traits of others to create animations, he could really stand out a lot more. This fight, in general, lacks quite a bit, but it also is pretty entertaining and fixes some aspects of his previous fights as well.
Once again. Aeon impresses me. Th use of angles and the variety in these fights makes them really enjoyable. While the story put in is a good thing, half the story being in the description is never a good thing. But this isn’t exactly a series. So I will give it a pass on that. While animation can look strangely stiff and rough at times it looks really good overall especially when the entire video is jam packed with action. Really though. This is good, really good despite the generic formula of big fight and one person taking a massive blow then transforming or something. But it has a unique spin on this whole thing anyway.
3/5
