Even though this is a collaborative effort, it isn’t a collab and the events are organized. Humor does not apply to this animation, so I won’t critique it.
Ah it’s Black Animator again, I’m tired of reviewing this stuff, but let’s do it. This is the basic, top of the line DBZ fight. The animation quality is decent but nothing remarkable. Choreography is rather boring and uninspired, and the pacing is very badly done. The effects could certainly be more than what they are depicted. Overall, it’s a decent 2-minute fight stretched into 12 minutes of content. Sometimes more isn’t better and having more time to watch the rest of this animation honestly brings it down. It isn’t exciting, has nothing interesting or unique to provide to the table, and overall is extremely forgettable. There was work put in, but this animation does not provide anything important for a series, nor does it provide anything unique for a DBZ fight.
As a series episode this is lacking so much. Rather than introducing characters for a bit, this assumes you have watched normal DBZ episodes and goes off that. The start of this makes no sense. In fact the entire story is not making sense despite the translation which is very much appreciated. The animation in this was overall pretty good. Little details like hair moving as well is cool and a nice addition but past that theres so much lacking from the animation like force. There’s one very clearly traced and out of place character in this which should have never been put in this. The effects are cool and backgrounds don’t serve much of a purpose. This is very close to being an average SN series episode but part of what holds it back is how boring it gets when animations are recycled over and over again.
