Humor is inapplicable to this animation, so I won’t critique it.
This episode is a timewaster in every sense of the word. The fight itself is extremely mediocre, relying on over-usage of poorly-done effects and rapid-hits rather than providing substance and uniqueness. The intro itself literally has characters standing for 10 seconds doing absolutely nothing. It’s clear there was padding for the 10 minute mark here. You can tell with the ads littered through the animation. The story suffers completely because the voice acting included is legitimate voice acting from the show. While that may make characters sound cool, that also means that the story is completely predictable compared to the show, since the animation has to go like how the voices describe. If one is going to watch a DBZ animation where the two have the exact same storybeats, it would be better to just watch the legitimately produced DBZ fight rather than watching this. Just don’t waste your time. The animation quality is decent, but it does not make use of the 13 minutes to provide something of quality. The animation quality isn’t everything. Don’t waste your time.
This has so many problems with it. The fight is 80% recycled animations that loops far too much, the pacing is all over the place and this fight is ridiculously padded out. Too much of the same thing and dialogue,
while good is ripped from the show from the looks of it. Just gotta say though that Goku sounds far better in English. But in terms of story, theres so much that is predictable. Visually theres so many problems with bland effects and the same background with Son Goku running farther than he needs to in the animation at the start of the fight. This fight as a whole though has expanded through 2 full episodes and is closing in on a 3rd. There’s no heart put into this animation. It’s just padded out to put ads on the video. The intro that shows nothing alone proves that. Very dissapointed.
Very Low 2/5
