Humor is inapplicable for this animation, so I won’t critique it.

When most people critique elements, they critique the older episodes and not the episodes like this. Elements has always lacked on the story department, which is a given, but the main focus of this series has always been the fighting itself. I consider it unfair to focus on the aspects of a series in that manner, particularly when the series itself has a clear-cut definition of what it is trying to achieve. It’s like using comedy logic and critiquing on a horror movie or drama.

Though the storyline is basic and characters bland, the fight scenes are the real prize of this series. They are fast, enjoyable, and very satisfying with all of their flash. I do understand that the series could dramatically improve with the incorporation of a consistent storyline, but it still stands tall as a consistent well-animated fight series.

For that, I have to give it a solid 3/5. The story is a 2/5 for sure, as it is not as developed as it could be, but once again, you don’t watch a movie like “Up” if you’re going to review it for horror sequences, and you don’t watch “Full Metal Jacket” if you’re looking to rate movies based on family-friendly content.

3/5. A solid watch for fans of stick figure action.

This episode is a big improvement on the mess it once was. While character designs and story aren’t good, the story has made a slight improvement with fighting seeming like it has a reason. The animation and is very clean and the effects are smooth? How many SN animators have smooth high FPS effects? Not many so I got to give a load of credit there. There’s inconsistency in background use and character designs still stand as purely generic which still plague this series. But rather than watching a badly animated series with no story and bad design work, I was watching something with good animation, a bit of a story, and some better visuals. Glad some improvements where made cause the rest of the series before this is unwatchable for me. Now I am no longer in pain critiquing this.
