An animation by Buttered Spino spotlighted on Tuesday May 12, 2020
I hope you enjoy this incredible Godzilla vs Godzilla fight video. The ending was a bit rushed through some parts, but I still love the outcome of it.

These are difficult figures to animate, not only because complexity but because of how difficult it is to animate their movement and convey the slow+powerful movements, but you nailed it here. That takes a lot of patience.
The sound work was also perfect, and really pulled everything together with all the small cinematic camera touches (slow motion too). Nice to see some of these billions of Godzilla/kaiju sticks we have in action.
I have never seen words so accurate and descriptive of an animation.
Presidential Award incoming

Story and humor are inapplicable to this animation, so I won’t critique them.
An enjoyable feature of Godzilla is the sheer scale of the fights themselves and how even the tallest of human buildings appear minuscule and unimpressive compared to the titans battling each other. Dynamic angles, powerful effects, the sheer might and size of these creatures as they battle each other using their environments is a core part of Godzilla, and unfortunately, this animation capitalizes on none of this, taking on the approach as if it is mashing two toys together. The 2D angle throughout the entire animation is a detriment, making the battle unimpressive and not as grand as it could be. Effects are definitely not as striking as they could be, and the overall animation quality is subpar. There aren’t any particular striking or memorable moments of this animation, leading to a fight that is underwhelming in all aspects. It fails to demonstrate much as a fight and mishandles the core aspects of what makes Godzilla entertaining and breathtaking. Tween also doesn’t redeem the fight.
1/5.
PL Team Slave OwnerI kinda expected more and something a little more impressive. Some of the animation here is pretty decent. But the visuals are lacking and the uniqueness of this 7 minute fight is not there. The attacks I have see are often beams, less often bites, hardly smacks, only once tail whips and a rock being thrown as well. Theres gotta me more innovation than that. This gets really dry is it goes on. The sound work is good at conveying that heavy weight of the two creatures but theres sounds overused with concepts overused and this doesn’t bring forward too much that is interesting. This also has a pretty bland background. The enviroment isn’t used and the size not very accurate to the movies. This is overall just dissapointing and provides nothing that makes it reasonable to watch this. But it isn’t entirely bad. Theres some decent animation and effects with a conclusive fight. So theres that. It’s just lacking in a lot of animations and is quite underwhelming.
