Story and humor are inapplicable to this animation, so I won’t critique them.
This is another basic DBZ fight that relies too much on unoriginal effects and generic punching. The animation quality itself is decent, but the overall fight is very passable and generic. Hits have little to no impact themselves, and the fight can simply described as “all flash, no substance”. There is nothing new, unique, or original to be presented with here, and even on that aspect, it fails to provide something of noticeable quality even with the generic aspects it possesses. Very mediocre as a whole.
While I saw improvement in this one, it’s only really the attempts to do something a little different in a few areas like the flying through the mountains while fighting was cool and unique, but there was nowhere near enough of that and it repeats the same formula I’ve seen in every other DBZ animation. Movements in this are smooth but at the same time, posing is often pretty rough which makes the animation look plain bad at times. But overall it’s still pretty decent and smooth getting the job done. Visuals also are just average. Not enough is done with the visuals in this to interest a viewer alone.
2/5
