Story and humor are inapplicable for this animation, so I won’t critique them.
I both really like and really dislike this animation, looking in hindsight. The clear emphasis of this animation is within the use of polyfills, and they look incredible. The flow of the scarf, the usage of such dynamic looking effects, and the mouth movements even, this animation has some great polyfill action. On the other hand, though it is great from an animation perspective, it is extremely lacking as a fight. The pacing is over the place, and though there are some cool moments, the animation feels very stop and go, as a quick attack happens, then they take a long pause, then the fight starts, and then it stops again. It feels reluctant to present a fight to the viewer and keeps shifting between two modes of varying quality.
I have to barely give this a 3/5. The fight is pretty lackluster and disorganized, but credit has to go for the wonderful polyfill usage. This fight would be one to remember if those inconveniences of bad pacing were removed.
Throughout this animation, I was really disgusted with the pacing. It was action, stop, action, stop, it was odd. There was also some wierd silence. And you obviously have the ability to add sounds, you just don’t add enough. Animation and small details in this were pretty good though. As garbage as the scarf design is, I have to give credit on the physics the scarf is given. Overall, it’s kinda average. But it is entertaining.
