KaijynnJust your friendly local cryptid. I'll eat your bones.
Honestly, this seems more like a test animation more than the beginning of a series. The visuals are pretty good, only being slightly choppy. The effects usage was pretty good, and seemed fairly smooth.
The story is practically nonexistent. All the animation does is throw us into a fight between two characters that we know nothing about, for seemingly no reason. The humor isn’t there, either.
Egad. This would barely pass as a fight animation, but to call it the start of a series as well? There isn’t anything to critique here whatsoever besides the choreography and animation as it is. This is a stereotypical bad SN fight. Pacing is abysmal. Movements are decent but don’t carry the rest of the fight. There is no story to this series, period. My advice? Watch any other fight, you would use your time better.
The posing was pretty decent in the animation, and the animation was smooth, but at the same time, there’s hardly any animation and all the work looks like it was put into the tails flailing around for no reason. Overall I really am not impressed. The animation like Slap said felt like it was a test animation. 0 story is formed and theres no humor which it’s fine to not have humor. Story on the other hand is rarely okay to have none of. This functions horribly as a pilot to a series and has me disappointed. Visually it isn’t impressive with 0 background use and average use of effects.
funny how I somehow don’t remember this one at all
at this point, when it comes to animations/stickfigures, even after all these years, I remember them all
not this one lmao
idk why
this was before the Era of Movieclips™ and that’s all I notice in SN vids now, where/how to use MCs and damn, would have made a lot of things here easier
good animation though, and really great job with sound too

Overall, I’d give it a 4.5/10.
