Humor is inapplicable to this animation, so I won’t critique it.

This is the next addition to the Project Landfall series, and it improves on a lot of aspects the first episode blundered on. Though there still are text blocks, they don’t mess with the spacing too much or derail the pacing. The storyline is beginning to grow more complex as the introduction of Explosive Bullet occurs, and the dialogue, though it could work on creating more personality, is acceptably done. Movements are smooth and crisp, shootouts are improved upon quite a bit as well. A major part of any series that is often overlooked in most SN animations is background, but Project Landfall gets the backgrounds right quite a bit, and the details included are very nice touches. I particularly liked how after the breach, bodies didn’t just disappear when they were shot and EB purposely took time to add in bodies for different angles. It’s those little details that show the amount of work and thought put into the animation. It certainly could improve on a bit, such as character personality, more smooth cut transitions, etc, but this is overall a good series episode, and it shows that Project Landfall has definitely improved from the first episode.

3/5.

Love the critisism. This is what helped me make this one better than the last one. Now this is a common problem with this series which is the text blocks. Something that I can say I’ve fixed completely in the next episode I’m working on. But I’m glad to know that the storyline appears to pick up more here since I feel it was kinda appearing generic at the start. I’m currently trying to lay out some foreshadowing, personality, character conflicts, background information, locations and relationships between characters for the story to make it much more well written. Personality is really a tough one to convey though text, so I’m really gonna have to work hard on that one, but it’s something I certainly overlooked in the first two episodes. Background is something that I do feel I have nailed in this whole series and will have to continue with that. Especially with the introduction of new features within the app that make background use more viable. Movement here are something that I did well, but personally I feel they were rough in areas and inconsistent. So I’ve been working to polish my animation and improve on it. This give me more direction and things to focus on as I continue to work on the next episode to this.
