Story and humor are inapplicable to this fight animation, so I won’t critique them.
This is one of SGA’s fight animations focusing solely on the fight, which is a relief indeed. The fight itself is very well animated, and the effects displayed look stellar. However, the animation places a lot of emphasis on the effects alone to the point where they are treated as filler for legitimate fight substance. Effects can look as pretty and as nice as possible, but they cannot substitute for a good fight. We know this from Michael Bay movies. The fight itself is decent, but could definitely use some improvements to add more substance. The effects are well done, but every time the characters go in for physical combat, there’s a clear difference in quality and power. The dialogue also interrupts the pacing as well. Despite that, this is overall a great effects fight, and I enjoyed it.
Pretty well put together fight that flows. Every attack leads to another with occasional pauses allowing both fighters to attack in a different way. It kinda steps out of that generic fight format which is good. The uniqueness remains there though and none of it remains in design. Characters both don’t really have cool or interesting designs, but the effects are well done and animation is polished. Leaving it at a pretty solid rating.
