Humor is inapplicable to this animation, so I won’t critique it. There might (?) be a story hidden underneath here, but it isn’t directly presented as such, so I won’t be critiquing that either.
Ok, I liked this animation quite a bit. There are noticeable flaws to start, and the animation quality itself isn’t as smooth and precise as it could be. The effects are decent but slightly lacking. The combat of the characters could use more variety, but I liked the little touch of how “spamming the best move works” in many cases.
What sets this animation apart from others is the presentation, and wow is it well done. There are a lot of subtle little hidden features that really bring out a lot within this animation, I particularly enjoyed how there was a little part where the game itself did not allow the user to change the rules. The sudden boss fight was pretty cool as well, though the sound design could have used a bit of improvement. It was a stylized approach to make the sound effects voiced, but ultimately while creative, the sounds did fall a bit flat. Overall, however, this is a very experimental and unique animation, and while it may falter on a couple of concepts, it’s unique premise creates an enjoyable viewing and a memorable scene. I’m definitely looking forward to more content of this caliber.
Kinda feel like half this animation was a straight up acid trip. The concept of this is really cool and how it it brought forward is interesting. But there’s some problems with this. The choppiness really pulled away from the animation. In some areas it was smooth, in others it wasn’t. The was an awful lot of glitching in this which was a stylistic choice, but at times it just made it irritating to watch. While it’s a cool addition, the glitching effect is over done. How this animation is set up is really wierd. It’s like it’s in one area then suddenly jumps to another. As a series, it isn’t that great and makes little to no sense, if you are looking at story. Sound design was also really odd, it didn’t play for a bit then it did. That and sounds used are rough, but I will give credit there for you making them yourself. Animation wise though, this is really entertaining aside from the visual glitches being overused and the overall work in making this flow and make sense rather than looking like a test animation in many areas.
