Humor is inapplicable to this animation, so I won’t critique it.
This is the first episode of a Spiderman SN series, and it doesn’t exactly deliver. Though the beginning introduction is surprisingly somewhat artistic, the rest of the animation lacks in quality. It introduces the characters at a brisk pace, and time isn’t being taken to set up events. The usage of the vcam in this is atrocious, and it really wrecks what little quality there is in the animation movements. Overall, it’s not quality or unique, though the dialogue is somewhat acceptable.
This wasn’t exactly bad overall. This had a very good start. Not many SN series can pull an intro off that well. Problem with this is it’s messed up by two things. VCam use and length. Theres a lack of eventfull things that happen in this first episode alone. It’s too short. More time need to be taken. The VCam problem is described simply through how zoomed in it is and how it moves with characters. It should have been zoomed out a bit in this and advantage of auto camera should have been taken. Certain movements are too fast and more frames needs
to be put into them. Storywise characters appear to have personalities already developing. Dialogue is put together well which is also rare. But overall it needs length and far better VCam work. Otherwise it’s an average animation.
2/5.
