Story and humor are inapplicable to this series-opening, so I won’t critique them.

This feature is the Opening for the series “Warp” by X-Ray Anims. While it plays around with some angles and establishing shots, it fundamentally lacks quite a lot of aspects required for an opening to be good. For one, many of the credits actually block the visuals themselves. Good openings can introduce and hook the audience whilst simultaneously depicting credits. The ending also is very abrupt. Just like stories, OPs should have beginnings and endings, and the random cut to the green-grass background doesn’t help the tone. Besides that, the animation quality is decent. Overall, it is mediocre.

2/5.

An interesting opening, but stereotypical of an anime. This from what I can see is a Gundam/Pacific Rim inspired animation. Cool angles and asthetic is brought forward and there’s a unique style to it. As an opening this doesnt show too much and also is pretty inconsistent, but it goes beyond the average for openings.
