Ah yes, what a prestigious event…just perfect to celebrate ten years of noding!
Oh, by the way, if you’re here after having just seen the Default with a full head of hair in the app and are full of questions, maybe you should check out the above link wink emoji.
First off, thank you to everyone who participated. There was something over 200+ entries (I think, ask Squi) and due to the soft time limit on entries, the pruning process had to be even stricter – else this already-90-minute video would have been entering into Titanic waters (I’m referencing the length of the movie, not…not the fact that it ended up, like – you know…whatever just nevermind).
The Winners
And now, for the moment you’ve all been waiting for, the winners of the various categories!
I will be reaching out soon, but feel free to DM me on X first with your name (if it’s not obvious) and payment method. Preferably Paypal, Steam gift, or a gift card if in the USA.
Please understand – choosing winners was extremely difficult! Arguments could be made for a lot of different entries winning different categories. Lots of factors are considered, including the amount of “Stick Nodes” vs post-editing, humor, entertainment value, etc. Also I could have easily taken some of the honorable mentions and moved them to the runners-up list but let’s be honest, I ain’t trying to go broke. The real winnings are the friends we made along the way!
Winners
In total there are four main winners, each taking the number one spot for Best Animated, Best Visuals, Most Entertaining, and Most Creative. These four main winners receive $100 and a slot on the Stick Nodes splash screen if they do not already have one.
- Best Animated
Vlizzurd, it’s John Wick but if he were a couple

All Motions, only because they properly identified me as being richer than Elon Musk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3HZzjTcLrQ - Best Visuals
Meimei, sorry I went and rewatched the clip and then forgot what I was doing…
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3BXuYGfpzA - Most Creative
Chillin with Chill, a really fun take on a legit-looking point-and-click game
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKi7WX0wHPQ
Runners-Up
Then there are the four runners-up – these entries were really great but just didn’t make the cut to win first place in either of the aforementioned categories. The runners-up receive $50 each…and a hearty handshake!
- Thanimations, absolutely stunning fight animation with nonstop fluid action
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPXNmA8C-_c - AwsemAWT, a nice well-rounded badass beatdown of some skibidi-looking TVs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GvvuagC-lc - Brakie, absolutely loved the concept and originality of this one – a close rival for “Most Creative”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVuw8SNeKwc - AnimAsians, a fun and well-animated revisiting of all past collabs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdskmsscEOc
Honorable Mentions
I could honestly do a small writeup on every entry that made it into the collab, as they were all some combination of visually appealing or generally fun and entertaining in their own unique ways, but I’m just gonna name a few here, don’t feel bad if yours isn’t mentioned! For example, I could mention the classic unique comic-book style of Sherlock., or the fun Mario/Madness takes from Nakovich and Firefunk 128, but, I ran out of time!
- Darkboy Animation & Mei Yamazuki, for the initial two sample entries created in record time
https://youtube.com/@inactivestudio - SultanTheDerp, for galvanized steel beams
https://www.youtube.com/@sultanthederp - GRINEE_, for another charming sibling moment
https://www.youtube.com/@grinee_5866 - Kimms, for the wacky-ass blending of different styles in a cool fight
https://www.youtube.com/@Kimmsey - Nyan Reuben, for his unique realistic character and fighting style
https://www.youtube.com/@nyanreuben - Mr Ling, hey shitass
https://www.youtube.com/@Mrling980 - Perrella Animations, for beating up Noir (and Sean Spider-Man)
https://www.youtube.com/@perrellaanimations - Perma, Rasvyet, for a very Scooby-Doo-esque chibi animation
https://www.youtube.com/@permadeathstudios6446 - Arcane Knight, for an aesthetic knight-vs-demons clash
https://www.youtube.com/@AK_KIRO - NS22A, the funniest entry
https://www.youtube.com/@NS22A779 - ParsoN, for being a great sport after I accidentally bashed his brains in with the door
https://www.youtube.com/@parsonide - Heckray, for being the super secret final entry

Happy 10th Birthday Stick Nodes!
Remember, this collab was to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Stick Nodes, which is absolutely crazy. There was also a whole video dedicated to that fact last month, did you watch it – Stick Nodes 10th Anniversary Celebration! – check it out now if you haven’t!
So, what’s next? Well, more Stick Nodes updates of course. Maybe some smaller event(s) for Halloween and Christmas (possibly regarding the new connector feature and its rigging potential). And then eventually, another collab! Believe it or not the central theme is already chosen and it’s already being planned!

if you’re a winner, I will be contacting you this week, but it’d help me if you just reach out via DM to me first (just say ‘sup) instead of me tryna track yall down one by one on all these gosh darn social medias https://x.com/FTLRalph/
Good
This is so Yay
very
This collab was so epic! Here’s to 10 more years of sticknodes!
@Ralph (I don’t know if it’s that how you mention him, sorry.)
First of all, good night. I’m a “new” brazilian user named Nox. Before anything, i would like to be clear about things thing. I only know the basic of the english so my words might be misspelled or with gramatical errors and my laptop have some keys with problems. Also, this isn’t an attack to the participants of the collab, but, a critic to the collab that didn’t followed it’s own rules. (“new” because i entered the comunity recently but i used the stick nodes for years)
I tried to join the collab already not beliving my bad animation would enter. That’s why i already assure you that what i am about to comlain have nothing to do with my denial but with a thing that was unfair on that collab. The time of each entry.
The rule says “Entries are encouraged to only be between 15 to 60 seconds long. You can go past this if you want, but you need a good reason to do so.” I beg your pardon but what were the good reasons most animators had? Because what i could see was “because i want to make it big.” I literally saw an animation of 6 MINUTES! And i also don’t want to be that guy and i don’t know the comunity too well… But i only saw famous people there! Ralph, if this hyphotesis is right, “since it’s the 10th aniversary of stick nodes it would be better have only the pros.” If you wanted to have only the pros, could you at least state it clearly on the rules? (I don’t know if what i said was just my thought or the reality… but you posted it on youtube so it may be wrong… and i would yet have a right to question it!)
I don’t want to be a mind reader but you probably are thinking i’m just upset because my entry was refused… And yes, i am. bBut i brushed it off because the reason i almost wrote a book was that something IS off. Again, i’m not attacking no one. the stick nodes community is a good one and i never saw a fight ocuring between users and i don’t want to be the one who will sart it. I’m also not saying that the animations didn’t deserved the price, quite the opposite, they deserve more! What a show, pals. But the problem is when they don’t follow a crucial rule and yet got accepted! I think all of them should follow the example of the first one… BECAUSE IT FOLLOWED THE RULES! (Also, congrats Darkboy Animation, it’s the one of the few i foun ice and wer in rules. [if your username is not Darkboy, please don’t blame… i writed what were on the document]
This is my essay about how much confused, sad, upset and mad i got at the collab don’t following the own rules. I’m not here to be annoying or anything but… I can’t stand it. Until we met.
Guys I’ll tell you a secret… I’ll be taking a spot for winners in the next Collab.
Try winning if you can!
do it
They allow you to go pass the 60 second rule ONLY if the entry is not boring, poorly animated, and does not have slow pacing.
And is that a good reason? Also, It should had been explicit in The document of The rules…. If there aren’t explicit, then it’s not fair.
I don’t know If that a unspoken rule, still wrong! That would be my First try to be in a collab, so The doc rules NEED to be straight and explicit. With no unspoken rules If isn’t The Basic ones like no nfsw. Being not boring, lowly animated or slow paced isn’t one.
Can you link your entry here so other people can decide if it should be accepted or not? You said you wanted it to be fair, so let’s see what the public will think.
I’m not here to ask for mine to be accepted or why It Was refused. My animations Was really bad and i even think It would be already a reason to be refused. But i’m not asking It to be fair, i’m saying that It is really strange that the rules say one thing and the collab do other. There’s a HUGE diferente between a 60 sec entry and a 6 minute story… I thought It Was supposed to be quick.
I’m not here to say How you should do a collab, but i think It would be better If you follow the same rules that you imput. Also, a 1 minute entry rule would be better cuz you could add more entries to the video and It would be more atrativo to new users and animators.
@SquiSN , the animation i thought It Was the most fair one was yours. Since i belive not even 1 rule were broken. But NOW compare yours to most of them… It seems wrong. Your animation wasn’t slow-paced, past 1 minute or boring. That’s why i belive It would be the best example of the 2.
And my damn keyboard sentence corrector not letting me writing english properly…
the rules did not say one thing and the collab do another what are you on about
it said 1 minute is a soft limit, but entries can go longer if its warranted, meaning, longer entries will be scrutinized harder as to not drag down the time and pacing of the collab
and that’s what we did
there has to be a reason to cut entries or every one of the 200+ submissions would be accepted and it’d be a 10 hour video
that’s unreasonable
Mr Ralph, i’m not saying that you are supposed to accept all. But to deny the ones that BREAK THE RULES. If time IS 1 of them then It should have the same priority as ALL. You guys talk like isn’t important at all! That’s what i don’t understand. If 1 rule isn’t important, then all of them aren’t só every entry should bê allowed by THAT reason and not because the animator followed the rules and It should bê automaticly accepted.
Te amo ralph-
Gado
teamo to you too
I wasn’t in it so its automatically trash
NAHH
Also, about this, is there going to be a toggle to if you can allow hair on Default?
