The only reason I see for someone to hate furry is because they probably only know the community from the negative videos talking about weird people.
Every community has people who do something wrong or are strange, for example Sonic and FNAF, and there are also characters with animal characteristics, Then I can read a video talking bad about these communities, started to think that everyone is weird in this community because of the criminal or strange fans
