The dunkleostius was one of the earliest jawed fish, and where incredibly advanced and large for their time period. They had one of the most powerful bites, harder than any living sharks.

They had an iconic armor plated head and most likely ate smaller animals, including smaller dunkies. its name is comprised of the greek word osteon, meaning "bone" and Dunkle, in honor of David Dunkle. they grew to about twenty feet, possibly thirty.
