Here's inner tail's backstory : During Tails' route in the Nightmare Beginning Remake, he becomes trapped by the demonic entity Exetior and is driven to desperation. To survive, he reluctantly begins killing the forest animals in his area. The smell of blood and raw meat awakens a primal, carnivorous instinct within Tails, and he actually begins to enjoy the killing.

Exetior later returns and gives Tails a black ring, intending to map Tails' broken mental state however, this backfires and causes a flaw in the demonization process, This fault splits Tails' psyche, bringing forth a demonic, bloodthirsty doppelgänger known as Inner Tails. Inner Tails stalks the original Tails, brutally mocking him over Sonic's death, trying to convince him that Sonic deserved it, and driving the young fox further into despair.
