An Indian push dagger. the blade would commonly be coupled with a Hatchet or other small Axe that would hook and control the opponent's weapon or arm and allowing for a swift stab to the throat with the Katar.

There are many misconceptions about the blade, many people choosing to dual wield them or use them as a primary but this is false and only limiting the Katar's true potential as a truly lethal secondary.
