The Nissan S30 Fairlady Z (sold as the Datsun 240Z and later the 260Z and 280Z on other markets outside of Japan) was the first generation of the Z, a result from the "Project Z" that had a team of ten people.
The S30 is a 2-seater sports car coupe with a 4/5-speed manual and 3-speed automatic. It was produced by Nissan Motors Japan from 1969 (nice) to 1978.
The S30 was pitched by Yutaka Katayama or also known as "Mr. K" (since pronouncing his name proved to be difficult to foreigners) to Nissan so they can compete with US brands after the new safety regulation.
Yoshihiko Matsuo alongside with his team was responsible for the design of the car and later was introduced in 1969 as the Fairlady Z in their home country of Japan. The name "Fairlady" was given by Katsuji Kawamata, President of Nissan at the time, after seeing a broadway musical called "My Fair Lady" when visiting the US in 1958. However, the name didn't stuck and was called as the Datsun 240Z instead to appeal to the US market. After a couple of generations later, Mr. K is now known as the "Father of the Z" by fans and later passed away in 2015 at the age of 105.
Also did I mention this car was included in an anime called "Wangan Midnight" it's also an arcade game (Initial D is a more superior anime *cough* *cough*)
Engine Specs:
1969-1974 Datsun 240Z
2.4 L L24 SOHC I6
151hp, 146ft.lb
1974-1975 Datsun 260Z
2.6 L L26 SOHC I6
140hp, 157ft.lb
1975-1978 Datsun 280Z
2.8 L L28E SOHC I6
170hp, 163ft.lb
More into the fig itself
The car has 2 versions of the main body and wheels, the R-spec version of the body which has an extended bumper lip and sideskirts along with carbon fiber mirrors and spoiler, an addition with a rollcage inside and an aftermarket steering wheel. The second version of the wheels basically changed the rims into carbon fiber. This version of the Z is more tuned to be on the track hence the name R-spec which means "Race spec"
The normal road version just includes the standard stock body features except for the seats and the wheels having them replaced with bucket seats and new 5 spoke rims.
Here's the layering of the car regardless what version it is
