Shad are a small species of fish native to North America, they are anadromous, so they are found in oceans, but are also found in freshwater territories. they eat very small organisms and completely stop eating during mating season.

During mating season females can lay over 600000 eggs in just a couple days. The eggs hatch after about ten days. Shad are a great baitfish and are commonly used in bass fishing. Many larger species eat them such as...... literally everything that is slightly bigger than them, even sucker fish and carp eat the eggs.

The north americon shad is not closely related to other american shads. and despite there intense prey and predator relationship, theyre population is actually stable... wow

use this guy to feed my other carnivorous creations.
