Prior to the NSC "special forces and abilities act" , the northern soviet confederation had no special forces. the "ranger" task force was one of the first along side the nightwatch. first major willow (or catnip) is one of the few members of the NSC that is part of a special forces team.

(now for some background deets)

born october 12th 2004 , willow was one of 3 siblings in her family. her brother [redacted] lived in america , her older sister was an alcoholic and her other brother was a greenhawk insurgent. (NSC members will know who dis guys are). at 4 years old , willow's life went sideways as her mother and father were gunned down by a group of CSAT for supporting the NSC , and her older sister was taken hostage and was later killed by some gangmembers. willow was at school at the time so she had no clue what happened to her family , so she ended up going home with one of the school teachers....(and we see where this is going). willow spent 2 years living as basically an adopted with her school teacher until she was 6 , the NSC umbrella division (the illuminati basically) sent a few soldiers to *ahem* "retrieve" willow from her now-home.

At 7 years old , at a now abandoned NSCUD facility , willow became the key subject in "project runner" , a project that worked on developing a soldier's abilities beyond a normal human's (the Spartan program of the NSC). for 2 years she was taught how to be more agile than the rest of the NSCs soldiers (even fireteam malta and akula) , Became the youngest and most skilled free-runner in the NSC. she was also "unethically" subject to multiple chemical tests (drugs) that "enhance a subjects abilities above that of an normal human being's". one chemical of which was project blacknight , a virus that takes control of the mind and turns the host into a zombie , that was given to her at 8 when she passed the "pilots gauntlet" with flying colours. blacknight was able to infect willow but had failed in taking control of her mind so she was , effectivly , immune to the blacknight virus.

At 10 years of age willow was sent on a lone wolf mission to rescue an apparent "researcher" from an greenhawk warship in the south china sea. the mission goes well but her C.O (a general by the name of shepard) orders her to destroy the warship along side the rescue mission. though she suceeded in destroying the ship , she ends up trapped in the middle of next to noware. 6 or so hours later she is then rescued (with the HVT) by a arial warship of the NSC known as the warhammer and brought back to mainland.

at 12 willow finds out about the truth behind the C.Os orders. the C.O wanted willow and the researcher dead , for reasons unknown. she decides to report him to the NSC's leader but the C.O (once again) tries
to kill her , this time with the help of rogue battlion. later on during a fairly intence fight (picture the fight between price and shepard in call of duty MW2) she kills around 257 soldiers and the C.O himself , by herself with just a rifle and a few knifes.

now 13 , shes one of the NSC leader's elite operatives within fireteam ranger 9-7. she now ether fights alone , with her fireteam or with her friends in fireteam malta 0-1 and akula 6-5 (later on)....
