Humor is inapplicable to this animation, so I won’t critique it.
Overall, this series episode of Re:Darkboy is meh. It has decent fights and effects, and the movements and fluidity are on point, but the series aspect itself is pretty shallow. There isn’t much character development, and the characters that are introduced interact with each other awkwardly. The dialogue is pretty subpar as well, as there are way too many spelling errors to be excusable at this point. When viewed at as a fighting series, it’s decent, but viewing as a series overall, this particular episode doesn’t accomplish much. It still looks good, but really lacks what is important for a series to be a series in the first place.
This was kinda average. Watched the previous episode and have the context as to what is going on. But it honestly doesn’t have much. Theres some great work done on the fighting scenes, but there’s alot missing elsewhere like story andpolished visuals. The backgrounds for the most part are done pretty decently. But their inconsistent in that matter. But the angles in the fight scenes are also good. The story isn’t pulling itself together too much as he’s told to take a break from his job as a merc or something. But that plays nothing into the plot of strengthening his “orb” and it leaves the viewer confused. Humor in this is often out of place and odd, but theres some good humor too in the middle of the fight scene with Squido. It has potential, but currently this is just average.
