There’s… Definitelly something going on. While a lot of people say a lot of positive things Ima start with the negative stuff just so they get out more. Afterall improving is partially noticing the flaws.

In my opinion, the thing that put me down the most is the character personalities and dialogue. It just kinda seems forced. Type of stuff “I know of this and will give this reaction”. While on paper, sounds what you’re supposed to do but that’s on paper. But paper is flat, and people in reality have depth.

Don’t get me wrong, making legit personalities… Especially that is just involving other people is hard. No one really pulls it off well in SN community. But it’s good to try to involve yourself emotionally in situation on how the characters act, just like you were there… So the viewer would have that experience themselves.

The beginning definitelly has this issue, it basically slaps you in face with forced dialogue to give exposure to past events.

Definitelly the best moment was the 1-2 second shot of the train falling with the others. Kinda shame was so short. The mountains in the back slowly shifting, trees (despite being at ridiculous angle which made me lol) up close moving rapidly and seeing characters freefalling showing the scale of the scene is possibly almost done perfectly. It felt very alive and wasn’t distracting with excessive wind and dash effects people often do. Possibly what made this scene so good is actually the shot itself. You might have subconciously did the right cinematographic angle and stuff for it.

What about other positive stuff? Hm… Well just the fact you put attention to background. It moving around is slightly confusing at the action scenes with the angle changes, but there’s still attention to the detail which gives us the clear idea of the place.

Look im not that good in looking for positive stuff because i often criticise myself lol. Good work, characters can be better for plot-focused animation 3/5

Yea, I kinda had to force some dialogue in this episode and that is the only thing I would say is bad about the episode besides sometime the animation is smoother and other is rough. Sometimes the animation glitches but fixing that is beyond me. Anyway I 100% agree with the emotion and characters. I tried to rush it so I added dramatic music, it worked slightly but not fully.
Anyway to the point. The next episode pays A LOT of attention to the characters personality and how they are recovering. I am also paying a bit more attention to humor. Right now I’d give the episode a 9/10. I also been asking people about lore of their characters and how they act and stuff.
I actually posted a 1 minute teaser of
StickNodes: Endgame -Episode 3- Recovery.
Here is the link if you are curious:

Anyway I think Episode 3 emotionally and depth of the episode will make it one of the best so far.

there’s definitelly a massive improvement. Especially considering how the pace is done and there’s slight bit of character expression, even if it’s just eyes. Prob would give Ralph a little look down at the end considering we can’t really give him any expression (lol rip). It’s a really good attempt on this, just try to avoid being too descriptive because that might be too unnatural, for example “When turned on my boosters I could have grabbed him!” to simply “I could have grabbed him!” Tho rip at all those tiny typos here and there.

Humor is mostly inapplicable to this animation, so I won’t critique it.

This is another SN series that suffers from quite a lot of storyline/dialogue problems. The animation quality itself is decent but could use many many many improvements. There are some humorous moments in the animation (EB hunting scarf figures) but overall the animation itself could use quite the load of improvements on the storyline. Fight scenes themselves are basic and could benefit quite a bit from dynamic angles. In general, the best way to describe this series is basic. There isn’t much that is new or interesting that is provided through the episode, and along with all the previous flaws, creates an underwhelming viewer experience. As a normal animation, it may get by, but since it is specifically a series and the story is in this shape, it suffers quite some detriments.

Low 2/5.

This is enjoyable. While the story is pretty good and the visuals are well defined, the animations is rough in a few areas. There is also missing sounds and character personalities aren’t conveyed too well, but it’s better than most SN series. Some dialogue seems out of place which really pulls away from this. What this has solidified pretty decently is the backgrounds. One one hand the visuals are really good, on the other hand they are rough. Certain figures used feel low quality while others are easily some of the best. Posing ends up pretty odd in areas and effects are quite lacking. Overall this isn’t impressive in animation, but there’s some good animation in here that works great with the backgrounds which are dynamic and beautiful. Like the train falling. That caught my eye and I had to pause the video. Despite the problems with this in animation and visuals along with story, this is still some of the better work in the SN community which carries potential.
