Adopted since 1964, the MG64 is the slonian licensed version of the FN MAG. It is the standard general-purpose machine gun of the Slonian military, replacing the M1919. The A3 version has internal improvments.

The A3-V is for Vehicle Mounts, having a retractable stock instead of a fixed one. It is also used by the Airborne Regiment
