The M1 Abrams is the United States Army's Main Battle Tank, with three versions released since 1980: The M1, M1A1, and M1A2. The latest versions of the M1A2 with new shielding and electronics. It was named in honor of General Creighton Abrams, former commander of the 37th Armored Battalion, and would enter service to replace the M60 Patton. This tank (Main Battle Tank) is considered one of the most efficient vehicles in the world, for employing the highest, in addition to having modern blind technologies, weapons and sensors.
