Cerene was once a biologist who was working on a serum that would give humans similar abilities to our feline friends such as night vision, super speed, higher jumping, intent hearing and if we were lucky, minor foresight. To say the experiment went wrong would be an understatement. Cerene was subjected to rapid and uncontrollable seizure which got violent enough for it to knock the professor out. upon reawakening, she found herself in an odd state.

She had grown golden fur from head to toe like her cat: Mr snuggles. her eyes could see further and better than ever before, her ears picked up sounds that her normal human ears would never usually hear. she could feel hooked, steel claws on the ends of her fluffy hands and even a long tail protruding from her rear pelvic bone.
the biologist had turned herself into a cat person!

Cerene ran from society immediately after her transformation and headed for the outskirts of Utopia where she would eventually meet Bleak and co.
