Replying to:XionAnimsAlso , how do you animate fighter v fighter animations?
I’m glad you asked
Here’s the basics of what you have to know, dogfights are extremely unlikely to happen irl and they usually only last 5-10 secs if they do happen cause of off bore sight missile’s, so basically everything that Ace Combat thought you was complete and uter-bullshit.
What usually happens in modern air combat is BVR (Beyond Visual Range) combat, distances are roughly about 40-120nmi by the use of Radar and Fox-3s. You should watch GrowlingSidewinder or any DCS youtuber for vids that you can base your anims off.
Alot of stuff needs to be learned, examples are Cranking, Defending, Missile types, Aircraft capabilities, Brevity codes, Rate fighting, RWR,AAR,SEAD, ect. As you can see depicting modern air combat is extremely hard and complex, so drop everything you think you know and basically start over if you want to do it accurately
