Nah. Wish it would be as simple as that.
Neighbour upstairs basically got out of mental hospital after a week of “treatment”. After that she didn’t take her meds apparently and lied to doctors. She suddenly bursted out in rage and got woken up by screaming and glass smashing.
We were staying inside to avoid being hurt as she threw jars and such from the corridor she was wrecking. When my mom came outside for a moment and she saw her, she almost got hit with a jar but locked the door in time.
Afterwards was just her throwing shit at door and cursing, then coming outside and damaging the cars, until got restrained by the police and medical staff.
We’ve been cleaning the mess for 3 hours so far and got most done but we are now exhausted.

I guess better precautions and talking this through with your neighbor is the only thing your family can do
I do hope y’all stay safe , maybe having like a “safe room” where you and the rest of your family can safely lockdown in and avoid any harm that could be done , and in general having more secure measurements in your household could help
I don’t know the full situation but that’s what I’m guessing for now
It was just hysteria or smth, due to her not taking required medication. Though she might be locked up for a while after this.
Our house is kinda like a safe room. We even got iron blinds… Well not on all windows, yet-
but when we lock in we should be fine anyway.
Moral of the story, don’t fucking underestimate mental illness and take your darn meds.
Also I guess rewire your brain to redirect anger and stress into something that isn’t property damage I guess.

He apologised a lot to us and we helped him clean up the mess since we good neighbours and shiz. He was trying to stop her before and actually grabbed her but it could be very possible it could have gotten even worse. He’s kinda the one to call the ambulance (she cut her hand and blood was all over the place too on things she grabbed), but my mom called police after the jar thing.
Honestly I was about to ring the police in the damn instant it even begun and it would have been over before she even broke the windows and such, at least nobody got hurt. Well, except her and our cars and shit i guess-
Tho tbh i now feel anxious going downstairs to throw in coal into the furnace because no idea if my neighbour simply returned just now with her or not (my brother speculated so but who knows)

i don’t know the situation enough but i mean it *really* sounds like this person shouldn’t be out without professional supervision for at least a while
how could they live in a residential house with other people whom were just attacked, and be sent back there same day
