Why do British people use ‘are’ instead of ‘is?’ Like ‘Nintendo are’ instead of ‘Nintendo is?’
It’s not even a company thing where it could potentially be plural, I’ve seen it with names of towns. ‘[Town] are’ instead of ‘[Town] is.’
It’s just the local dialect
