Another thing I noticed, something you’d never really realize unless you read/translate the original Japanese; Vegeta’s (in?)famous ‘Super Saiyan bargain sale’ line is actually quite a literal translation. Vegeta literally says バーゲンセール (Bāgensēru). Toriyama revealed in an interview that Vegeta apparently learned the word from watching Bulma’s TV.

Side-note, I might start doing my own fan-translation of the manga (if I can find the hecking Japanese version anywhere–how is it easier to find HD English scans online than the original Japanese?), since Viz messed up on a couple things.
When trunks sorta looks taller than vegeta
this is literally just how foreign words work in japanese, they still pronounced it the same way though albeit in a japanese accent and it’s written in katakana
its the same as the Za Warudo meme and in katakana it’d be ザワルド
another example, lets use your name: フラシュロックアニメーター (in romaji it’d be furashurokkuanimeta)
adding more to this

this literally means saiyan
