i can foresee some funny ass anims from it
whoever do make it tho, make sure to layer it so you can put characters behind the various podiums/judge area

As said above, layering will definitely be something to pay attention to if you do decide to do it
But the various camera angles should also be taken into account too, if it’s a challenge you wish to take
Animation through the use of movieclips and speech through textboxes would be awesome too
