Yeah, there is something holding it to his face, but it’s covered by his ear and sorta blends with his skin a way
But it’s still there

I guess it’s because his mask is both a prominent and iconic feature about him
Since it’s one of the first things you notice about him, you’d probably tend to look deeper into the details related to it
