“ralf where is update”
Funny how I thought I’d have this out in October… To be honest, reason for the delays is irl stuff, was just super busy the end of the year into January.
Second reason is iOS was giving me troubles for a few weeks in October, thus pushing back the release into November, leading to…
The third reason, Google/Android has new rules for storage of data per app that was put in place in November. I was trying to get the update out prior to then so I wouldn’t have to worry about it until some future update, but I ran out of time.
It resulted in a lot of tedious nonsense in getting Stick Nodes to 1) transfer all files to this new location on first startup and 2) properly save exports to the new location as well.
As of today it’s pretty much done outside of a lot of testing. But of course, this upcoming week is a bit of another whirlwind of nonstop action for me so it may still be another couple weeks at most – maybe this week as well, who knows.
I posted the changelog before, but this is what is changing in 3.3.0:
◆ Frame node limit per frame can be doubled, enable this in the App Settings window.
◆ You can set a series of frames to repeat for X amount of times. Good for looping a scene a few times. Look under Frame Tools.
◆ New filter, drop shadow (can also be used as a sort of edge glow).
◆ Quick Resize Tools remembers if it should be enabled or disabled upon startup.
◆ When exporting, an option for “better quality blur” is available. This is experimental, but should result in (slightly) better-looking blurs and glows (when exporting).
◆ When creating a stickfigure, it will be auto-saved every 5 minutes. You can access a history of auto-saved stickfigures from the Creation Mode Tools. This can be disabled in the App Settings window.
◆ When the app encounters lag during playback, it will now skip frames to try to keep the correct pace. This results in better timing for sounds and music and is more natural behavior.
◆ Default movieclips have been added, similar to default stickfigures.
◆ The Magnifier can now be locked in place.
◆ Added new sound effects, search for “330” in the Import Sound window.
◆ Many small bug fixes and tweaks.also, unrequested dio pic #1000

Best Dio pic
Also this update seems to be a big one, the auto save option is the best and next will be the new filter
just to be clear the auto-save is just for stickfigure-creation mode, since it’s basically instant
Ikr
Hell yeah this update sounds cool
pls pls can u put the auto save on anims too because sometimes we make a huge mistake or the app crashes it would be a lot better
also i don’t see text layering..
and what happened to that one cute fig u said you were gonna submit if ur one post got 10 likes
and there no dio pic :'(
it can’t be a thing, saving projects can’t work in the background, as i’m sure you’re aware it takes time, maybe a few seconds to a few minutes
that’s why there’s the “save reminder” option, which is the same as auto-save, except you have the option to not do it rather than be locked out from working for a couple minutes
aw man ok
