ARES was built by Felix in an attempt to create the perfect killing machine. This went too well, as it turned on them and nearly relieved Max of his walking privileges.

Similar to solar panels, Lunite stores the moons energy for daylight. Even though it’s dirty, and therefore hard to identify as the metal, ARES is made of Lunite. Due to this, some of the wiring is to harness the energy absorbed from the metal, and use it to power ARES. If a wire or metal plate gets broken, he will be slowed ever so slightly. This energy also powers the hidden light in the right side of his face, next to his vertical sensor (his eye in a way). His body can detach to form

1. A turret
2. His top half, which can fly and function normally

ARES, fitting to both his acronym and what it stands for, shows no mercy in the battlefield. His abundant knowledge on anatomy allows him to brutally torture his enemies, going so far as to break every non-lethal bone in the body and leave them to die of pain and blood loss, a grueling and slow process. Needless to say, he will sacrifice himself for his team, showing his better side of robotic emotion.
