I have some ways on how Peri got her powers

Part of me is questioning why I need to explain and can’t just have a character with cool powers.

Other part of me is wanting to make a cool origin story and show how the powers work

But before that, quick expo on Peri, basically her mother died when she was young and was out in an orphanage, she grew up, got kicked out and now has take care of herself. (That’s it, but somewhere in there something wacky occurs on how she got her powers, and of course more story but don’t wanna say to much if I decide to change it.)

Anyways, here’s a dumb list of ways Peri got telekinesis that I thought up:

She got “adopted” but the people who took her actually take her to a sketchy lab, and they run experiments on her brain (along with other children).

She saw a cliche magical space rock hit the ground near the orphanage, so she sneaks out to check it out, but she touches it and gains cool powers, but they slowly develop so she doesn’t know what happened.

Inspiration from Matilda, she was bullied while in the orphanage and due to oppression she developed telekinesis.

I was actually going to combine the previous one with this one, that being she saw a shooting star and wished for someway to stand up for herself or whatever, but the shooting star actually had some supernatural thing happen and boom she gets them without knowing.

I suck at storytelling I know, but that’s all, help ahhhh
