This isn’t really an update idea, but seeing talk of Nodegramming and that whole smart stretch thing reminded me of this idea I had.
So basically, you could have each individual node in a branch do a specific action if the parent node does something, like an increase or decrease in thickness for example.
Let’s say you make a node longer by one. You could set a node further down the branch increase in thickness by two, or another node decrease in scale by three, and etc. This could probably work best with smart stretch, though I can’t really think of an specific examples. 3D comes to mind.
I’ve only done a little bit of coding before, not enough to say that I’m even decent at it, but I feel like this sort of mimics that in a way. Maybe this is what Nodegramming is supposed to be, I don’t know. I had this idea a while back when I talked about smart stretch scaling.
