Guys. I need help.
With my pc.
It’s somehow nearly out of storage.
But there’s a discrepancy.
It says there’s about 382 gigs worth of application and features, but when I look, there the highest any file is is 1 gig.
And if I were to download all my games, I’m positive that it would only be a max of 100, maybe 200 gigs, but even that’s pushing it.
I have a 500 gig hard drive with only about 36 gigs left.
Every YouTube tutorial I see just say the same “Delete temp files this ” or “delete caches that” things like that.
But even my temp files only add up to 1 gig.
This probably isn’t the best place to ask, but tbh I don’t have anywhere else to go.
@ralph
You’re a somewhat tech guy right?
Maybe you can help?
Or maybe ariornec
I can never spell his name.
Hell, maybe even Jim
Arcionek
nah man it’s ariornec
nope its araconireconekc
No its definitely WIGLET
i recently had to find large files so i could delete them to make room
on windows 7 it was relatively simple
sort by size up in the search bar and it’ll find all the “big” files
a lot of which were just tmp or old junk files i could delete
Delete your furry porn
WinDirStat for Windows should be good, but I can’t verify it for myself on Windows as I haven’t used a Windows device for years now
But I do use it’s MacOS equivalent of Disk Inventory X and it’s pretty good at showing a visual representation of your entire hard disk, separated by colors and showing which is the most prominent when it comes to storage
Try checking it out and seeing how much bloatware you have to delete https://windirstat.net/
Also do not use cleaner apps or anything similar because they’re all placebo garbage and only good for uninstalling apps, it’s 99% better to just do it yourself
Obligatory note that since it checks very deep within your storage it might take a while to load, especially if your storage is huge and you have a lot of files
