Is there any plan there yet or is the focus mainly just the sprite update right now?
NodecoinThis is more of a fun suggestion for the sake of it then something I really want added.
What if for every download we receive a set amount of node coins are given and as one of the possible ways to earn node coins you could invest equities to a Stickfigure with the creators consent to earn a certain amount from it given it reaches a total downloads target within a set time. That’d be cool, dumb and messy but cool.
Not sure how the state of the site will be after the sprite update and once work on SN PC starts but if we ever had more added and were to consider having a currency that would be neat.
That’s about it for what I had to suggest, nothing crazy, just thought I’d put the idea of ‘Stickfigure Nodecoin Equity’ out there.

You could earn node coins by:
– Making an account
– Staying around relatively actively for a year
– For each member in a group
– For every 25 likes or so you reach
– Stickfigure downloads, for each type of Stickfigure it would receive either a decrease or increase in overall earnings due to either higher demand or lower.
– Stickfigure download equity
Possible uses of nodecoins:
– Advertisements on a potential advertisement board page
– Site themes
– Minigames maybe?
– GIF Pfp’s
– Custom group badges / awards
– Gifting nodecoins to others
– Getting a place on ‘richest peeps’
Sounds kind of unnecessary but just think of all the talk already from a little present system and what we could expect from a full-on site currency.

Absolutely, I say we just go for something like this at some point, see what comes of it and if not we just pull the plug.
Cant people get alts, make a new account, then gift it to their main, and then get the alt to join their group for even more nodecoins?
Because if so they’ll have to be moderation on the new accounts to make sure they aren’t being used to farm nodecoin
Who cares? That’s a lot of work to do anyways so my fatass wouldn’t bother doing it, not to mention needing to verify the email with the account (i think) too much work, me rest. 🛌

Well gifting nodecoins would just mean a transfer so if you gave it to an alt that would be it, nothing new be gained.
If anything we could always add a minor gifting fee whether that be a set amount or a percentage reduction based off of the main transfer amount.

You said you can gain nodecoin from making an account, as you said on the first point. You can also gift nodecoin you said
So, you make an alt account, the alt account gets the nodecoin for making its account, then the alt gifts it to the main account
Oh I see now, we could just make it so you gain just a small amount, a little bonus to welcome the idea of Nodecoin but not enough to really want to exploit.
The IP could always be tracked and then any accounts and nodecoins could be taken away or suspended.
ive obviously had an idea for a currency as evidenced from the chalkboard thing lol
but you went and created a whole crypto-esque economy here, with investing and whatnot
it’d be funny and interesting ngl, dunno if i’d go that far with it but some currency as simple rewards that you can use to buy dumb profile enhancements i think would be fun
as for site updates, arc and i were talking about it a couple months ago
a more user-driven/account-driven experience would be better, moving away from WordPress, somewhat similar to Newgrounds (uploading your own stuff and having the community approve/disapprove as a whole)
would be something i have to hire a development team for because ain’t nobody got time for that

Well, idea itself isn’t bad, it sounds neat and fun, but from experience, it is always a mess.
Amino Coins are the boogeyman of this concept.
I don’t know much on Amino nor it’s coins but for the site’s reputation I can see what you mean so I’ll take your word for it.
Still if nothing happens just because we don’t want things to go wrong we’d be left with very little substance for what the site can be.
No point getting too into this whole idea though, until the sprite update etc it’s all very up in the air
