V2 has more detailing but I feel the overall structure could be better, if feels kind of mushy looking.
Refer to images of images that may have similar structure to the creature in mind, it would probably help give you an idea of how it would look. For a creature as well that has many sharp crystal-like features adding a sharper structure rather than a round one like now would make a nice difference I think.
1 looks better because the extra “details” in v2 are just a mess of random nodes and gradients
both need to have better structure and less blockiness tho
more purpose with all the (what i assume are) crystal stuff placements and deisngs rather than just, blobbing it up
