Well this comment was a joke, but the reason they get a lot of hate is because of the stereotype (not saying it is true) of all of them being zoophiles or that all furry stuff is sexual.

I would say taking on a liking to animals in a way that means you artistically create things that holds some connection to said animals is fine, but when people pretend to be animals, buy suits, include animals to their lives in multiple aspects even for sexual intent, that’s when it goes too far.

i think the fursuits are fine though
They’re not really hurting anyone so sure but I just think they’re quite out of place and considering how much they’re mocked and how much furries take to it as who they are instead of just a suit, I personally wouldn’t promote or even really condone it.
Do what makes you happy though I guess, that’s all that really matters.
