allow me to be a realist and say no you are 100% not making money with stick nodes unless you get the incredibly lucky chance to be a freelancer / commission based animator, or you end up making creepypasta animations that get watched by children
or you could just get lucky from the algorithm, but what you need to know when it comes to making money from this is luck, as hard work can barely put a dent when it comes to the almighty youtube algorithm
animation with sn as a business isn’t that high in demand so I wouldn’t recommend it whatsoever, speaking as someone with experience, along with connections to some people who actually do work in the anime industry
not to mention since you mentioned youtube, you’ll need 4,000 hours of watch time and 1,000 subscribers, and watch time is an incredibly difficult threshold to reach, only being achieved by people who got lucky with the algorithm

It’s such a shame how domineering it can be to try and attain such unrealistic goals now, 4000 hours is absurd, for any beginner YouTubers wanting to start out and maybe just earn some cash enough to say ‘hey maybe I can grow my channel and get more’ now you basically have to have a guaranteed successful channel and only then can you earn money. I honestly feel like it leaves very little legroom for anyone just starting out a potential career in content creation.

i mainly agree but i wouldn’t say it’s as impossible as you say
the goal of making money right away with youtube never works, yeah, but starting a channel for fun, it growing organically, then switching gears to putting in work so it brings in some side cash is feasible
being consistent, taking advantage of things like Shorts, quick/funny/entertaining skits (even just stealing trending meme dialog/audio clips), taking part in SN-based channels/communities to get people to actually see your shit and click subscribe because they had a giggle – all very doable, as long as it’s being done because you enjoy it and have fun – it all boils down to point 1 – starting off with “i wanna make money” = failure
make good content, entertaining
be consistent even if there’s no engagement at first
utilize shorts and popular trends/hashtags
be consistent
comment/interact with other creators and be a reply-guy, try to always be the top of the conversation/comments
continue to be consistent
As someone who does all of this except for being consistent, the emphasis is 100% necessary
